Singer-Songwriters Todd Daniels & Jonathan Buchanan

Todd and Jonathan met in 2002 when a mutual producer/friend working on their two separate productions housed them in the same apartment in Detroit. They connected over their love of movies and music.

By 2004, they had independently moved to Burbank and started working jobs in camera (Jonathan) and sound (Todd) until they reconnected with that old mutual friend and started doing art jobs. Flash forward a half dozen grueling years and they were both union Property Masters heading up separate projects. Until Key & Peele...

Todd was the Property Master for Season 1 and Jonathan stood in for him Season 2, but for Season 3-5 they were together again with Todd at the helm and Jonathan assisting.

By this time, Jonathan had been playing acoustic guitar and wanted to go on tour during the hiatus. Todd was an accomplished musician who had written a bunch of his own songs as well, so they decided to go on “the hiatus” tour up the coast to Seattle and back as singer-songwriters: Jonathan as “Campfire Cassettes” and Todd as “Todd N Todd.”

After his first year as a solo act, Jonathan started recruiting friends he had met on set to round out Campfire Cassettes’ sound. First, Bobby Woo (L80, dolly grip) on drums, then came Angie Parrish (L705, costumer) on solo vocals and percussion and after recording a few albums, they talked Todd (44, baby!) into joining on bass. Full Circle!

They've had a great time playing, touring and recording together.
