Lauren has always had a love for entertainment. It all began at the tender young age of 6 when she starred as the pivotal role of Sheep #3 in her church's nativity play. Lauren went on to study Shakespeare and Performance at Mary Baldwin College where she earned her MFA in Acting in 2009 and later, furthered her theatrical studies at the University of Virginia where she earned her MFA in Technical Direction in 2014. It was during her time at UVA that Lauren was provided with a unique apprenticeship opportunity through a collaboration between the school and the Stan Winston School for Character Arts. She spent six weeks in Los Angeles, CA learning from some of the best miniature makers and creature fabricators in the business. After the apprenticeship was over, she knew exactly where her path was leading. She moved to Los Angeles permanently upon graduation.

Since arriving in Los Angeles, Lauren's career has shifted from a full time miniature fabricator to a union Property Master and she couldn't be happier! She is able to utilize all of her fabrication skills to carve out a unique place  for herself among Property Masters. Her knowledge of local shops and construction allows Lauren to bring together new teams of professionals across many fields. Lauren also spent five months in 2021 living and working Syracuse, NY with the production studio American High where she Property Mastered two feature films, I Love My Dad (winner of SXSW Grand Jury Award and Audience Award for 2022) and Crush. By the end of 2022, in addition to Prop Mastering her third feature in Syracuse, NY called Miguel Wants to Fight, Lauren had the privilege of working with Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Malcolm McDowell, and Richard Rountree in a feature called Moving On. Toward the end of 2023, she also had a chance to work with Michael Keaton, Al Pacino, and James Marsden in a feature called Knox Goes Away.

Lauren also serves on the Board of Directors for Property Masters Guild (PMG) as their Vice President and is looking forward to her future connections and growth within the entertainment industry. While based in Los Angeles, CA, Lauren is keen to travel for work and would love the opportunity to do so. She enjoys working with new teams and has a great attitude toward challenging projects.
